What's been done so far

Titanic Fundraiser

Our Director of Dive Operations, Kevin James, wanted to keep himself busy over ‘lockdown’ coming up with the idea to virtually scuba dive to the same depth of the Titanic (12,600 ft, 3,800 metres) over a period of several dives, whilst raising money for charity.

Kevin stopped off at planned depths to coincide with various shipwrecks on his journey down to the Titanic. Describing each shipwreck on his Facebook page once he made the dive to the equivalent depth. The final dive took six months to complete and raised a whopping £4535, minus the JustGiving fees.

The monies raised was shared between the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI), who received £2267.50 and PTSD – Progress Through Scuba Diving receiving £2122.97

Spinathon

Retired Major, Scott Ashley, raised almost £2000, completing an agonising 24hr spinathon on the 16th of October 2021.

"I am delighted to announce that as “The Conquering Marine” I will be taking on a 24 hour Spinning Challenge to highlight PTSD and raise funds for a very special organisation - PTSD Progression Through Scuba Diving, who are personally helping me with my disability from this life changing condition."

Scott will be joining us shortly on his own PTSD - Progress Through Scuba Diving journey and by raising this astounding amount he has now helped to support another of our Veterans or Serving troops on their journey with us at PTSD – Progress Through Scuba Diving.
